Test L: Speed Control Indicator Does Not Turn Off
NOTE:
After each service or repair procedure has been completed, reconnect all components.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect speed control servo/actuator connector C171 (located at right rear of engine compartment). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If speed control indicator illuminates, go to next step. If speed control indicator does not illuminate, replace speed control servo/actuator.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect instrument cluster White 16-pin connector C286 (located behind instrument cluster). Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and speed control servo/actuator connector C171 terminal No. 1 (Orange/Light Blue wire). See Figure . If resistance is more than 10 k/ohms, replace instrument cluster printed circuit. If resistance is 10 k/ohms or less, repair short to ground in Orange/Light Blue wire between instrument cluster and speed control servo/actuator.
