Blower Motor Resistor

Blower motor resistor is located on passenger side of plenum assembly, behind glove compartment. Three resistance elements mounted to resistor board provide 4 blower speeds. Series resistance is added or by-passed in blower motor circuit to decrease or increase blower speed. Blower motor resistor is protected by a thermal limiter, which will open blower motor circuit when temperature reaches 250°F (121°C), except in high speed when all resistors are by-passed. Thermal limiter cannot be reset and is not serviceable.
