Test L: Traction Control Inoperative
- Check For Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Perform ABS control module self-test. If any codes are retrieved, see ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS table. If no codes are retrieved, go to next step. - Check ABS Operation
Test drive vehicle. Check ABS operation. If ABS does not operate correctly, go to TROUBLE SHOOTING . If ABS system operates correctly, go to next step. - Check Traction Control Switch
Turn ignition off. Disconnect 30-pin ABS control module connector. See Figure . Measure resistance between ABS control module connector terminal No. 17 (Gray wire) harness side and ground, while pressing and releasing traction control switch. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, with traction control switch pressed, and greater than 10 k/ohms when released, replace ECU. Repeat self-test. If resistance is not correct, go to TEST N .
