Exhaust Manifold: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

CAUTION: Do not use abrasive grinding discs to remove manual scrapers. Do not scratch or gouge aluminum sealing surface.

Install the exhaust manifold and a new gasket.
Raise the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING & HOISTING .
Install the TWC. For additional information, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM .
Install the EGR-tube and install the EGR - tube and install the nuts.

Tighten the EGR-Tube nut.

Install the heat shield.
1. Position the heat shield and install the nuts.
2. Install the power steering pressure tube and install the nuts.

Connect the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.

Install the air cleaner housing (ACL)
1. Connect the MAF electrical connector.
2. Attach the intake hose.

Connect the battery ground lead.
