Front Subframe: Description and Operation

FRONT SUBFRAME

The front subframe is bolted to the body and is used to:
- aid in structural support.
- provide mounting surfaces for the front suspension.
- provide mounting points for the front stabilizer bar.
- provide mounting for the engine.
- provide mounting for the steering gear.
- protect the transmission and oil pan from damage.
