Brake System: Notes

The brake system has the following components:

• A vacuum-assisted power braking system
• A front-to-rear split hydraulic system
• Front brake discs use a dual piston brake caliper and disc system
• Rear brake discs use a single piston brake caliper and disc system
• A mechanical parking brake system that activates a drum-in hat system within the rear brake disc
• A 4-wheel anti-lock brake system (4WABS). Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMIC SYSTEMS
• Adjustable pedals
• Adjustable pedals with memory
• Fixed pedals

This vehicle is equipped with an electronic throttle control. Refer to FUEL CHARGING AND CONTROLS - 4.0L SOHC or FUEL CHARGING AND CONTROLS - 4.6L (3V) .
