Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Transceiver









Removal and Installation

1. Remove the steering column opening cover. For additional information, refer to Instrument Cluster / Carrier &/or Interior Moulding / Trim.

2. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. For additional information, refer to Doors, Hood and Trunk &/or Locks.

3. Remove the 3 screws and the lower steering column shroud.

4. Using a suitable tool (such as a dentist pick), to release the tabs, remove the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver.

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.

5. NOTE: Replacement of the PATS transceiver does not require the PATS keys to be programmed into the Instrument Cluster (IC) again.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
