Removal And Installation

NOTE: To remove the RH third row seat backrest cover, the LH seat outboard pivot cover must be removed before the RH seat outboard pivot cover can be removed.

NOTE: For component identification and locations, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Third Row .

LH or RH backrest cover

1.

Pry to release the clips and remove the LH seat outboard pivot cover.

2.

Pry to release the clips and remove the RH seat outboard pivot cover.

LH or RH backrest cover

3.

Release the backrest cover upper J-clip under the head restraint.

4.

Release the backrest cover lower J-clip, open the cover and release the inner J-clips.

5.

Remove the pivot bolt.
- To install, tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).

NOTE: Use care when separating the backrest cover from the hook-and-loop strips, or the hook-and-loop strips may be torn from the backrest foam pad.

Invert the backrest cover and detach the hook-and-loop strips.

7.

Remove the backrest cover.
- Pull the strap through the cover.

8.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
