P0657 Actuator Supply Voltage A Actuator supply voltage A high side power supply circuit failed Actuator supply voltage A high side power supply circuit failed. Only REVERSE and 5th gear available. Engine RPM at idle is about 1, 000 RPM when transmission solenoid power control is off as a Failure Mode and Effects Management action. Power to all solenoids has been interrupted. CHECK for opens, short to ground and harness disconnection. REPAIR as required. When transmission solenoid power control is commanded OFF as a Failure Mode Effect Management action, CHECK all solenoids for correct function as listed in the Clutch, Solenoid Application Chart. GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0706 Transmission Range (TR) Sensor TR  sensor frequency fault detected TR  sensor signal frequency is out of normal range. Only REVERSE, NEUTRAL and 5th gear detected. Engine may not crank. GO to PINPOINT TEST C .
P0707 TR  Sensor TR  sensor circuit duty cycle low input TR  sensor signal duty cycle is out of range, low. Sensor/circuit electrical malfunction. Only REVERSE, NEUTRAL and 5th gear detected. Engine may not crank. GO to PINPOINT TEST C .
P0708 TR  Sensor TR  sensor circuit duty cycle high input TR  sensor signal duty cycle is out of range, high. Sensor/circuit electrical malfunction. Only REVERSE, NEUTRAL and 5th gear detected. Engine may not crank. GO to PINPOINT TEST C .
P0711 Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) Sensor No change in TFT  sensor voltage during operation PCM has detected no TFT  sensor voltage change during operation. No 5th or 6th gears. GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
P0712, P0710 TFT  Sensor 157°C (315°F) indicated, TFT  sensor circuit grounded Voltage drop across TFT  sensor exceeds scale set for temperature of 157° C (315°F). No 5th or 6th gears. GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
P0713, P0710 TFT  Sensor -40°C (-40°F) indicated, TFT  sensor circuit open Voltage drop across TFT  sensor exceeds scale set for temperature of -40° C (-40°F). No 5th or 6th gears. GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
P0715 Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) Sensor Insufficient input from TSS  sensor PCM detected a loss of TSS  sensor signal during operation. Harsh shifts and engagements, engine RPM higher or lower than expected. No 1st, 3rd or 5th gear. GO to PINPOINT TEST D .
P0717 TSS  Sensor No TSS  sensor signal PCM has not detected a TSS  sensor signal. Harsh shifts and engagements, engine RPM higher or lower than expected. No 1st, 3rd or 5th gear. GO to PINPOINT TEST D .
P0718 TSS  Sensor TSS  sensor signal noisy PCM has detected a intermittent/noisy TSS  sensor signal. - GO to PINPOINT TEST D .
P0720 Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor Insufficient input from OSS  sensor PCM detected a loss of OSS  sensor signal during operation. No 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 6th gear. GO to PINPOINT TEST D .
P0721 OSS  Sensor OSS  sensor signal noisy PCM has detected an intermittent/noisy OSS  sensor signal. - GO to PINPOINT TEST D .
P0722 OSS  Sensor No OSS  sensor signal PCM has detected no OSS  sensor signal. No 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 6th gear. GO to PINPOINT TEST D .
P0730 Clutch Control Solenoid or Internal Parts Gear ratio error PCM has detected a gear ratio error. One-Way Clutch (OWC) or clutches may have failed. Incorrect gear selection depending on failure or mode and manual control position. Shift errors may also be due to other internal transmission concerns (stuck valves, damaged friction material). Engine RPM could be higher or lower than expected. May flash Transmission Control Indicator Lamp (TCIL). REFER to the CLUTCH, SOLENOID APPLICATION CHART located at the beginning of PINPOINT TESTS - OSC EQUIPPED VEHICLE . If other solenoid DTCs are present, GO to PINPOINT TEST A . If only P0730 and/or 2700 series DTCs are present, INSTALL the appropriate clutch solenoid. CLEAR the DTCs, road test the vehicle. If the concern is still present,
REPAIR/INSTALL internal transmission components.
P0740 TCC  Solenoid TCC  solenoid open circuit failure PCM has detected no voltage drop across the TCC  solenoid when commanded. Circuit open. Open circuit: TCC  never engages. GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0741 TCC  Solenoid TCC  solenoid circuit performance error Torque converter failed to apply when commanded indicating a concern with the mechanical or hydraulic operation of the torque converter system. PCM has detected a torque converter slip error when the TCC  was commanded on indicating a concern with the mechanical or hydraulic operation. No torque converter lock up. Non-electrical DTC. REFER to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
P0742 TCC  Solenoid TCC  solenoid circuit shorted to ground PCM has detected no voltage drop across the TCC  solenoid circuit. Shorted to ground. Short circuit: Only 5th gear at low vehicle speeds. GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0743 TCC  Solenoid TCC  solenoid circuit failure PCM has detected that the TCC  solenoid circuit failed to provide voltage drop across the solenoid. Circuit open, shorted or PCM driver failure during OBD  test. Open circuit: TCC  never engages.
Maximum Pressure Control Solenoid A (PCA) pressure, harsh engagement and shifts.
Short circuit: Only 5th gear.		 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0744 TCC  Solenoid TCC  solenoid circuit shorted to power PCM has detected that the TCC  solenoid circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Circuit shorted to power. No TCC  engagement. GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0748 PCA  PCA  circuit failure PCM has detected that voltage on the PCA circuit is out of range. Circuit open, shorted to power or shorted to ground. Minimum or maximum line pressure. Engine RPM higher than expected. Only 5th gear present. DTC sets along with P0960, P0962 and/or P0963. GO to PINPOINT TEST E .
P0750 Shift Solenoid Pressure Control A (SSPCA) Coast Clutch SSPCA  solenoid circuit open PCM has detected that the SSPCA  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Circuit open or PCM driver failure during OBD  test. No 2nd, 4th or 6th gear. GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0751 SSPCA  Solenoid SSPCA  solenoid performance or stuck OFF SSPCA  solenoid stuck in the OFF position (no pressure). Tow/Haul OFF or ON:
  • No 1st, 3rd or 5th gears available.
 REFER to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
P0752 SSPCA  Solenoid SSPCA  solenoid stuck ON SSPCA  solenoid stuck in the ON position (pressure). Tow/Haul OFF or ON:
  • No 2nd, 4th or 6th gears available.
 REFER to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
P0753 SSPCA  Coast Clutch SSPCA  solenoid circuit failure PCM has detected that the SSPCA  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Circuit failure or PCM driver failure. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • No 2nd, 4th, 5th or 6th gears available.
  • No gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • No 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 6th gears available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0755 Shift Solenoid Pressure Control B (SSPCB) Overdrive Clutch SSPCB  solenoid circuit open SSPCB  circuit, clutch or solenoid failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Circuit open or PCM driver failure during OBD  test. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 1st or 3rd gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 5th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0756 SSPCB  Overdrive Clutch SSPCB  clutch or solenoid - OFF SSPCB  clutch or solenoid stuck in the OFF position during operation resulting in LOW pressure in the hydraulic circuit. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • No 2nd gear available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • No 2nd, 4th or 6th gears available.
 REFER to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
P0757 SSPCB  Overdrive Clutch SSPCB  clutch or solenoid failure - ON SSPCB  clutch or solenoid stuck in the ON position during operation resulting in HIGH pressure in the hydraulic circuit. No 1st, 3rd, or 5th gears available. REFER to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
P0758 SSPCB  Overdrive Clutch SSPCB  circuit failure PCM has detected that the SSPCB  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Circuit failure or PCM driver failure. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 1st or 3rd gears available.
  • No second available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • No 5th gear available.
  • Only 4th, 5th and 6th gears available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0760 Shift Solenoid Pressure Control C (SSPCC) Intermediate Clutch SSPCC  circuit open PCM has detected that the SSPCC  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Circuit open or PCM drive failure during OBD  test. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 1st and 2nd gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 5th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0761 SSPCC  Intermediate Clutch SSPCC  clutch or solenoid failure - OFF SSPCC  clutch or solenoid stuck in the OFF position during operation resulting in LOW pressure in the hydraulic circuit. No 3rd and 4th gear available. REFER to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
P0762 SSPCC  Intermediate Clutch SSPCC  clutch or solenoid failure - ON SSPCC  clutch or solenoid stuck in the ON position during operation resulting in HIGH pressure in the hydraulic circuit. Only 3rd and 4th gear available. REFER to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
P0763 SSPCC  Intermediate Clutch SSPCC  solenoid circuit failure PCM has detected that the SSPCC  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Circuit failure or PCM driver failure. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 4th and 5th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0765 Shift Solenoid Pressure Control D (SSPCD) Direct Clutch SSPCD  circuit open PCM has detected that the SSPCD  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Circuit open or PCM driver failure during OBD  test. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 5th gear available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 6th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0766 SSPCD  Direct Clutch SSPCD  clutch or solenoid failure - OFF SSPCD  clutch or solenoid stuck in the OFF position during operation resulting in HIGH pressure in the hydraulic circuit. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • No 5th gear available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • No 5th or 6th gears available.
 REFER to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
P0767 SSPCD  Direct Clutch SSPCD  clutch or solenoid failure - ON SSPCD  clutch or solenoid stuck in the ON position during operation resulting in LOW pressure in the hydraulic circuit. No 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th gears available. REFER to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
P0768 SSPCD  Direct Clutch SSPCD  circuit failure PCM has detected that the SSPCD  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Circuit failure or PCM driver failure. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 1st, 2nd, and 5th gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 5th and 6th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0770 Shift Solenoid Pressure Control E (SSPCE) Low/Reverse Clutch SSPCE  circuit open PCM has detected that the SSPCE  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Circuit open or PCM drive failure during OBD  test. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 1st and 2nd gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 5th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0771 SSPCE  Low/Reverse Clutch SSPCE  circuit, clutch or solenoid failure - OFF SSPCE  circuit, clutch or solenoid stuck in the OFF position during operation resulting in LOW pressure in the hydraulic circuit. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • No 1st gear available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • No 1st or 2nd gears available.
 REFER to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
P0772 SSPCE  Low/Reverse Clutch SSPCE  clutch or solenoid failure - ON SSPCE  clutch or solenoid stuck in the ON position during operation resulting in HIGH pressure in the hydraulic circuit. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 1st gear available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 1st or 2nd gears available.
 REFER to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
P0773 SSPCE  Low/Reverse Clutch SSPCE  circuit failure PCM has detected that the SSPCE  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Circuit failure or PCM driver failure. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 1st and 2nd gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 5th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0791 Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor Insufficient input from intermediate shaft speed sensor PCM detected an insufficient signal from the intermediate shaft speed sensor during operation. Harsh shifts or engagements, engine RPM higher or lower than expected. No 1st, 3rd or 5th gears. GO to PINPOINT TEST D .
P0793 Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor No input from intermediate shaft speed sensor PCM detected a loss of intermediate shaft speed sensor signal during operation. Harsh shifts or engagements, engine RPM higher or lower than expected. No 1st, 3rd or 5th gears. GO to PINPOINT TEST D .
P0794 Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor Intermediate shaft speed sensor signal intermittent PCM has detected an intermittent intermediate shaft speed sensor signal. - GO to PINPOINT TEST D .
P0960 PCA  PCA  circuit open failure PCM has detected 0 volts on the PCA  circuit. Open circuit: maximum PCA  pressure, harsh engagements and shifts. Engine RPM higher than expected. GO to PINPOINT TEST E .
P0962 PCA  PCA  circuit short to ground failure PCM has detected 0 volts on the PCA  circuit. Circuit short to ground: Only 5th gear present. GO to PINPOINT TEST E .
P0963 PCA  PCA  short to power circuit failure PCM has detected 0 volts on the PCA  circuit. Circuit short to power. Maximum PCA  pressure, harsh engagements and shifts. Engine RPM higher than expected. GO to PINPOINT TEST E .
P0973 SSPCA  Coast Circuit SSPCA  solenoid or circuit shorted to ground PCM has detected that the voltage through SSPCA  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • No 2nd, 4th, 5th or 6th gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • No 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 6th gears available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0974 SSPCA  Coast Clutch SSPCA  solenoid or circuit shorted to power PCM has detected that the voltage through SSPCA  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • No gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • No 2nd, 4th or 6th gears available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0976 SSPCB  Overdrive Clutch SSPCB  solenoid or circuit shorted to ground PCM has detected that the voltage through SSPCB  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Short to ground failure detected. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • No 2nd available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 4th and 6th gears available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0977 SSPCB  Overdrive Clutch SSPCB  or circuit shorted to power PCM has detected that the voltage through SSPCB  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Short to power failure detected. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 1st and 3rd gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 5th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0979 SSPCC  Intermediate Clutch SSPCC  solenoid or circuit shorted to ground PCM has detected that the voltage through SSPCC  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Short to ground failure detected. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 3rd gear available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 4th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0980 SSPCC  Intermediate Clutch SSPCC  solenoid or circuit shorted to power PCM has detected that the voltage through SSPCC  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Short to power failure detected. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 1st and 2nd gear available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 5th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0982 SSPCD  Direct Clutch SSPCD  solenoid or circuit shorted to ground PCM has detected that the voltage through SSPCD  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Short to ground failure detected. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 1st and 2nd gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 5th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0983 SSPCD  Direct Clutch SSPCD  solenoid or circuit shorted to power PCM has detected that the voltage through SSPCD  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Short to power failure detected. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 5th gear available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 6th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0985 SSPCE  Low/Reverse Clutch SSPCE  solenoid or circuit shorted to ground PCM has detected that the voltage through SSPCE  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Short to ground failure detected. Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 5th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P0986 SSPCE  Low/Reverse Clutch SSPCE  solenoid or circuit shorted to power PCM has detected that the voltage through SSPCE  circuit failed to provide voltage drop across solenoid. Short to power failure detected. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • Only 1st and 2nd gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • Only 5th gear available.
 GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
P1702 TR  Sensor TR  sensor error TR  sensor error detected. Only REVERSE, NEUTRAL and 5th gear detected. Engine may not crank. GO to PINPOINT TEST C .
P1705 TR  Sensor TR  sensor not in P or N positions during KOEO  or KOER  self-test KOEO  or KOER  not run in P or N positions, or TR  sensor circuit failure. DTC is set. CLEAR the DTC. RERUN the KOEO  and KOER  in P and/or N position. If DTC returns, GO to PINPOINT TEST C .
P1711 TFT  Sensor TFT  out of range during KOEO  or KOER self-test Transmission not operating at temperature during KOEO  or KOER  self-test. DTC set: engine cold or overheated. GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
P1744 TCC  Solenoid TCC  solenoid circuit performance error Torque converter slippage detected during engagement command indicating a concern with mechanical or hydraulic operation of the TCC  . TCC  slippage when commanded on indicating a concern with the mechanical or hydraulic TCC  operation. No TCC  engagement. REFER to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM .
P1780 Transmission Control Switch (TCS) TCS  input incorrect per selected position TCS  voltage incorrect. No Tow/Haul feature when TCS  is pressed during self-test. RERUN self-test and cycle switch. If concern is still present, REFER to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/ TRANSMISSION EXTERNAL CONTROLS .
P1783 TFT  Sensor Transmission overtemp condition indicated Transmission fluid temperature exceeded 127°C (270°F). Torque converter engages earlier than expected. GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
P1910 Reverse Lamp Driver Circuit Reverse lamp driver control circuit failed Reverse lamp driver control circuit failed. No reverse lamps in REVERSE. TR  sensor is OK. REFER to EXTERIOR LIGHTING and/or vehicle wiring diagrams.
P2700 Coast Clutch Coast clutch failed ON or OFF The PCM has detected a failure within the coast clutch system. Not all gears available. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • No 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 5th gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • No 1st, 2nd, 4th or 5th gears available.
 REFER to the SOLENOID APPLICATION CHARTS located at the beginning of PINPOINT TESTS - OSC EQUIPPED VEHICLE . If other solenoid DTCs are present, GO to PINPOINT TEST A . If only P0730 and/or 2700 series DTCs are present, INSTALL the appropriate clutch solenoid. CLEAR the DTCs, road test vehicle. If the concern is still present, REPAIR/INSTALL new internal transmission components.
P2701 Overdrive Clutch Overdrive clutch failed ON or OFF The PCM has detected a failure within the overdrive clutch system. Not all gears available. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • No 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 5th gears available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • No 2nd, 4th or 6th gears available.
 REFER to the SOLENOID APPLICATION CHARTS located at the beginning of PINPOINT TESTS - OSC EQUIPPED VEHICLE . If other solenoid DTCs are present, GO to PINPOINT TEST A . If only P0730 and/or 2700 series DTCs are present, INSTALL the appropriate clutch solenoid. CLEAR the DTCs, road test vehicle. If the concern is still present, REPAIR/INSTALL new internal transmission components.
P2702 Intermediate Clutch Intermediate clutch failed ON or OFF The PCM has detected a failure within the intermediate clutch system. Not all gears available.
  • No 3rd and 4th gears available.
  • Only 3rd and 4th gears available.
 REFER to the SOLENOID APPLICATION CHARTS located at the beginning of PINPOINT TESTS - OSC EQUIPPED VEHICLE . If other solenoid DTCs are present, GO to PINPOINT TEST A . If only P0730 and/or 2700 series DTCs are present, INSTALL the appropriate clutch solenoid. CLEAR the DTCs, road test vehicle. If the concern is still present, REPAIR/INSTALL new internal transmission components.
P2703 Direct Clutch Direct clutch failed ON or OFF The PCM has detected a failure within the direct clutch system. Not all gears available. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • No 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th gears available.
  • No 5th or 6th gears available.
 REFER to the SOLENOID APPLICATION CHARTS located at the beginning of PINPOINT TESTS - OSC EQUIPPED VEHICLE . If other solenoid DTCs are present, GO to PINPOINT TEST A . If only P0730 and/or 2700 series DTCs are present,
INSTALL the appropriate clutch solenoid. CLEAR the DTCs, road test vehicle. If the concern is still present, REPAIR/INSTALL new internal transmission components.
P2704 Low Reverse Clutch Low reverse clutch failed ON or OFF The PCM has detected a failure within the low reverse clutch system. Not all gears available. Tow/Haul OFF:
  • No 1st gear available.
  • Only 1st gear available.

Tow/Haul ON:
  • No 1st or 2nd gears available.
  • Only 1st or 2nd gears available.
 REFER to the SOLENOID APPLICATION CHARTS located at the beginning of PINPOINT TESTS - OSC EQUIPPED VEHICLE . If other solenoid DTCs are present, GO to PINPOINT TEST A . If only P0730 and/or 2700 series DTCs are present, INSTALL the appropriate clutch solenoid. CLEAR the DTCs, road test vehicle. If the concern is still present, REPAIR/INSTALL new internal transmission components.
