Side Obstacle Detection Control Module: Removal

SODL shown, SODR similar.
- 1.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview
.
- 2.
Remove the rear lamp assembly. Refer to: Rear Lamp Assembly
.
- 3.
Remove the rear quarter panel moulding. Refer to: Rear Quarter Panel Moulding
.
- 4.
Remove the screws.Torque: 13 lb.in (1.5 Nm)

- 5.
Disconnect the electrical connectors and position aside wiring harness.

- 6.
Remove the push pins.

Remove the bolts.Torque: 28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)

- 8.
Gently flex the rear bumper cover to access the SODL or the SODR.

- 9.
Disconnect the electrical connector.

- 10.
Remove the SODL.
- 1.
Remove the retainer.
- 2.
Remove the SODL.

- 11.
If required. Remove the retainer and the SODL bracket.Torque: 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)
