Removal And Installation

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

RH Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) oil control solenoids

1.

Remove the RH valve cover. Refer to Engine 3.5L GTDI .

2.

Remove the bolts and the Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) oil control solenoids.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (44 lb-in).

Left Hand (LH) Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) oil control solenoids

3.

Remove the LH valve cover. Refer to Engine 3.5L GTDI .

4.

Remove the bolts and the Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) oil control solenoids.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (44 lb-in).

Installation

1.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
