Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module: Installation
- 1.NOTE: Extreme cleanliness must be exercised when handling these components. Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material using a lint free cloth. Take extra care not to damage the seal.NOTE: If the contact surface or contact pins show any signs of damage or corrosion, a new HCU must be installed.
Handling the outer edges of the ABS module, install the module onto the HCU.
- 2.NOTE: Make sure that the module is correctly located and fully seated on the HCU before tightening the screws.
Tighten the 4 screws in 2 stages.
Torque
Stage 1: 18 lb.in (2 Nm)
Stage 2: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)

Install the HCU. Refer to: Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) .
