Pressure release
WARNING:
Before beginning any service procedure, refer to Gasoline and Gasoline-Ethanol Fuel Systems Health and Safety Precautions
. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

NOTE: The FPDM is located under the carpet below the RH rear seat.
- Disconnect the FPDM electrical connector.
- Start the engine and allow it to idle until it stalls.
- Crank the engine for approximately five seconds to make sure that the fuel rail pressure is released.
- When fuel system service is complete, reconnect the FPDM electrical connector.

NOTE: It may take more than one key cycle to pressurize the fuel system.
Cycle the ignition key and wait 3 seconds to pressurize the fuel system. Check for leaks before starting the engine.
