Disassembly And Assembly Of Subassemblies: Differential: Disassembly

1. Inspect the differential bearings for damage or excessive wear. Install new bearings if necessary.

2. Using special tools, remove the bearing. Use Special Service Tool: 204-069 (T81P-1104-C) Remover/Installer, Front Wheel Hub. Use the General Equipment: Puller

4. NOTE: If the ring gear is replaced, a new transfer shaft must also be installed.

   Check the differential assembly and the ring gear for damage.

5. Remove and discard the ring gear bolts.

6. Remove the ring gear.
