DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition PCM P0602:00 Powertrain Control Module Programming Error: No Sub Type Information This DTC sets when a programming error within the vehicle identification (VID) block occurs. Possible Sources
- VID data corrupted by the scan tool during VID reprogramming
- PCM reprogramming
- Damaged PCM
- D1 CHECK FOR PCM (POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE) DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE) S
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the PCM self-test.
- Check for any other PCM related symptoms.
Is DTC P0602 the only DTC present?
Yes Reflash the PCM. Refer to MODULE PROGRAMMING . Repeat the self test. No DIAGNOSE all PCM DTCs.
