Hood Alignment: Inspection

  1. Inspect the hood-to-body dimensions. Refer to: .

    All alignments 

  2. Remove the hood latch. Refer to: Hood Latch .

    Hood fore and aft, left and right alignments 

  3. Loosen the nuts to permit movement of the hood.

  4. Carefully close the hood.

  5. Adjust the hood to specification. Refer to: .

  6. Carefully open the hood.

  7. Tighten the nuts.

    Torque: 17 lb.ft (23 Nm)

    Hood front up and down alignments 

  8. Adjust the bump stop rubbers.

  9. Carefully close the hood.
