Front Wheel Speed Sensor: Removal

  1. Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
  2. Remove the pin-type retainer and position the fender splash shield aside.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  4. NOTE: Route the wheel speed sensor harness as shown or contact with the wheel may occur causing damage to the harness.

    Detach the wiring retainers.

  5. NOTE: Make sure that the sensor housing area is clean and free of foreign material before the sensor is removed.

    Using compressed air, clean the sensor housing area.

  6. Remove the bolt and the front wheel speed sensor.

    Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
