Test SC-2A - Checking Speed Control On/Off Switch

- Turn ignition off. Disconnect speed control switch 4-pin connector. Check connector for damaged, pushed out or miswired terminals. Repair as necessary. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SC-VER . If connector is okay, with DRB in voltmeter mode, probe speed control switch connector terminal No. 2, fused ignition switch output circuit (Dark Blue/White wire).
- If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Dark Blue/White wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SC-VER . If voltage is greater than 10 volts, connect a jumper wire between speed control switch connector terminals No. 2, fused ignition switch output circuit (Dark Blue/White wire) and No. 1, speed control on/off switch sense circuit (Yellow/Red wire).
- Using DRB read status of speed control switch. If DRB displays S/C SW ON, replace speed control switch. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SC-VER . If DRB does not display S/C SW ON, remove jumper wire and reconnect speed control switch.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) 60-pin connector. Check connector for damaged, pushed out or miswired terminals. Repair as necessary. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SC-VER . If connector is okay, turn ignition on. Press speed control switch on. With DRB in voltmeter mode, probe PCM connector terminal No. 49, speed control on/off switch sense circuit (Yellow/Red wire).
- If voltage is greater than 10 volts, replace PCM. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SC-VER . If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Yellow/Red wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SC-VER .
