Fuel System Pressure Release

- Turn ignition off. Remove the rear seat cushion. Disconnect negative battery terminal. Loosen fuel filler cap. Remove mounting the 2 mounting nuts from the injector sight shield (top engine cover).
- Lift the sight shield from the front and pull forward to disengage the rear tab from the bracket. Install Fuel Pressure Gauge (J-34730-1A) to fuel pressure connector of fuel rail. See Fig 1 . Wrap shop towel around pressure connection when installing fuel pressure gauge to absorb fuel leakage.
- Install gauge bleed hose into an approved container. Open bleed valve to bleed fuel pressure.
