Condition
Some customers may comment on an illuminated Service Engine Soon (SES) Light. Upon investigation, the technician identifies a DTC P0147 has been set.
Cause
Vehicle system interactions may cause the OBD2 diagnostics to set a P-code for the O2 sensor's heater performance.
Correction
After following Strategy-Based Diagnostics without resolution, reprogram the VCM with the latest calibration. DO NOT replace the O2 Sensor.
IMPORTANT:
All DTCs, calibration numbers, technician observations, and customer comments are to be recorded on the repair order in accordance with article 1.6.2G of the General Motors Service Policies and Procedures Manual.
