NOTE: Powertrain Control Module (PCM) performs all functions performed by cruise control module in other vehicle applications.

When cruise control switch is on and SET button is pressed, vehicle speed input from vehicle speed sensor buffer will be stored in Powertrain Control Module (PCM). PCM will send signals to the electronic throttle control system to control and maintain vehicle speed. Electronic throttle control system is a servo system which supplies information to PCM. PCM will advance or close throttle position based on engine load to maintain vehicle speed.
