Installation Procedure

Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the generator cable (2) to the junction block.
Install the generator cable nut.
Tighten

Tighten the generator cable nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
Close the positive cable junction block.

Install the generator cable to the generator, perform the following:
1. Install the generator cable to the stud.
2. Install the generator cable nut.
  Tighten
  
  Tighten the generator cable nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
3. Position the boot to cover the stud.
If necessary, install the engine sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement (6.0 L w/RPOs Y91 and Z88) , Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement (4.8 L, 5.3 L, and 6.0 L) in Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L.

Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary Battery) , Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) .
