Installation Procedure

  1. Install the stoplamp switch (1) to the brake pedal bracket (3). Secure the stoplamp switch (1) using one locknut (2). Do not tighten.
  2. Adjust the stoplamp clearance. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Adjustment .
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Tighten the locknut (2) for the stoplamp switch (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the locknut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Connect the stoplamp switch electrical connector.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
