Navigation System Description and Operation: Notes

Operator Controls

Panel Switch Control Buttons Function
IMPORTANT: Some audio and special menu functions are not listed in this table. Special menu functions are shown on the display screen next to the button that operates them.
PWR Push to turn ON and OFF the Navigation Radio. Turn to increase or decrease the audio volume.
TA Hold button while turning the exterior lights ON and OFF 3 times to enter diagnosis mode. Also used for audio functions.
SEEK For selection of audio stations.
EJECT Ejects the map disc or CD.
NAV Push to access Navigation Mode or to view the map.
BAND Push when in navigation mode to view audio screen.
CD Push when in navigation mode to view audio CD screen.
Audio Push when in navigation mode to view audio adjustment screen. These audio adjustments do not affect the navigation audio.
SETUP Displays the Setup Menu which allows you to adjust screen color and access Language, Clock, Calendar, Maintenance and Display options.
Multi-Directional Select/Enter Key Move to scan the map and select a destination or menu option. Push to enter destination or menu options.
MAP Press the MAP button to have the current audio navigation prompt repeated or to show the map
DEST Push to access 1 of 3 Destination Menus.
MENU Displays the Menu which allows destination and route setup, route preview, map appearance options and navigation volume control.
ZOOM IN Selects a smaller section of map giving you a closer view
ZOOM OUT Selects a larger section of map giving you a larger viewing area
BACK Returns you to the previous screen.
