Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Position the radiator and fan shroud assembly.

    Tighten:  Tighten the radiator bolts to 19 N.m (14 lb ft).

  2. Connect the 2 fan motor electrical harness clamps to the fan shroud.
  3. Connect the fan motor electrical connector.

  5. If equipped with an air pump:
    1. Install the 2 bolts to the air pump outlet pipe (2).

      Tighten:  Tighten the air pump outlet pipe bolts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

    2. Connect the 2 hoses to the air pump outlet pipe (1).
  6. Connect the transmission oil cooler lines.
  7. Install the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet .
  8. Install the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Hose Replacement - Inlet .
  9. Refill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
  10. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.
  12. IMPORTANT: Watch for a potential overheating condition while the engine is operating with the radiator cap off.
  13. Start and run the engine until the coolant is at operating temperature.
  14. On vehicles with an automatic transmission, check the transmission fluid level.
  15. Tighten any loose connections, as necessary.
