Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the front lock pins to the moveable roof panel.

    Tighten:  Tighten the front lock pins to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  2. Operate the moveable roof until the drive slides lift up and begin moving forward.

    IMPORTANT: Be careful not to scratch or chip the paint.
  4. Install the roof panel to the vehicle.
  5. Install the moveable roof panel bushings into the track of the moveable roof frame assembly.
    1. Insert one of the roof panel bushings into the track.
    2. Rotate the panel until the other roof panel bushing can be inserted into the track of the roof frame assembly.
    3. Straighten the panel to retain the roof panel into the tracks.

  7. Lower the rear of the roof panel down onto the rear roof panel brackets.
  8. Install the screws retaining the roof panel to the rear roof panel brackets.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 5.5 N.m (49 lb in).

  9. Close the moveable roof panel and verify proper fit and operation.
