Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the sunroof sunshade panel to the sunroof module assembly. Refer to Sunroof Sunshade Panel Replacement .
  2. Install the sunroof window to the sunroof module assembly. Refer to Sunroof Window Replacement .
  3. Install the sunroof motor/actuator to the sunroof module assembly. Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Replacement (Old Style PEZ)  or Sunroof Motor/Actuator Replacement (New Style MD4) .

  5. Position the sunroof module assembly to the vehicle with an assistant.
  6. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  7. Install the bolts that retain the sunroof module assembly to the roof panel.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (7 lb ft).

  8. Connect the drain hoses to the sunroof module assembly. Refer to the following procedures:

  10. Connect the sunroof harness electrical connector.
  11. Install the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) , Headliner Replacement (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) or Headliner Replacement (Envoy XUV) in Interior Trim.
  12. Perform the Initialization/Teach Procedure. Refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initilization/Teach Process (New Motor)  or Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initilization/Teach Process (Existing Motor) .
