Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the socket assembly to the tail lamp assembly.
  2. Hold the top 2 locking tabs apart while pushing the socket assembly into place.
  3. Hold the bottom 4 locking tabs apart while pushing the socket assembly into place.
  4. Verify that the housing is fully seated with the locking tabs fully seated.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Install the 2 socket assembly retaining screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

  6. Connect the tail lamp electrical connector.
  7. Push the tail lamp assembly directly forward in order to seat the 2 locking pins.
  8. Install the 2 tail lamp assembly retaining screws.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).
