Sear Vision System Does Not Display

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the rear view camera image display module.
  2. Ignition OFF, test for greater than 1.0 ohm of resistance between the camera video signal circuit terminal 11 and ground.
    • If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the radio.
  3. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the camera video signal circuit terminal 11 and ground.
    • If the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the radio.
  4. Ignition OFF, test for greater than 1.0 ohm of resistance between the camera video signal circuit terminal 12 and ground.
    • If less than the specified range, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the radio.
  5. Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp does not illuminate between the camera video signal circuit terminal 12 and ground.
    • If the test lamp illuminates, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the radio.
  6. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector X4 at the radio.
  7. Test for less than 1.0 ohm of resistance along the signal circuit terminal 11 to terminal 7.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
  8. Test for less than 1.0 ohm of resistance along the signal circuit terminal 12 to terminal 6.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance.
  9. If all circuits test normal, replace the rear view camera module.
