Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Acadia) or Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Enclave) or Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Outlook) .
  2. Remove the steering column opening filler. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement (Acadia) or Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement (Enclave) or Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement (Outlook) .
  3. Remove the instrument panel wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor assembly.

    IMPORTANT: Due to clearance issues, the upper attachment bolt cannot be removed from the APP sensor assembly. Loosen the bolt completely and leave the bolt in the component until the assembly is removed from the vehicle.
  4. Remove the APP sensor bolts and sensor assembly from the vehicle.
