Passenger Presence System Programming and Setup

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Cadillac SRX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Before performing the preload procedure on the passenger presence detection system, the front passenger seat must be completely empty of all items. The presence of any items on the front passenger seat will affect the calibration and operation of the passenger presence detection system. When performing the preload procedure on the passenger presence detection system, the instrument cluster and dash lights will begin dimming ON and OFF. This is normal operation during the preload procedure and does not indicate additional system faults.

If the passenger presence detection system is replaced or serviced, perform the preload procedure for the passenger presence detection system. Refer to Passenger Presence System Preload Test for the preload procedure.
