Preliminary Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Reposition the engine control module bracket/battery hold-down retainer. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement

- Remove the positive battery cable from the battery post. Refer to Battery Positive Cable Replacement (LFX) , Battery Positive Cable Replacement (LEA)
- Remove the push in retainers from the front portion of the left front bumper fascia opening cover and reposition the cover. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Opening Cover Replacement (Equinox)
