Forward Range Radar Module Replacement (Cadillac without AVF)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Cadillac) .
  2. Remove the hood primary and secondary latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement .
1 Forward Range Radar Bracket Bolt (Qty: 3)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
2 Forward Range Radar Bracket
3 Forward Range Radar Module Nut (Qty: 3)
Tighten 
9 N.m (80 lb in)
4 Forward Range Radar Module

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. For programming and set up, refer to Control Module References .
  3. Use a digital angle gauge to align the forward range radar module vertically (at the edge or on the bracket behind the module).
NOTE:
  • The digital angle gauge must have an accuracy of ±0.5 degrees (9 mm/m).
  • The vertical position of forward range radar module is 90 degrees (±3 degrees).
