Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement

Preliminary Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac n Fill) .
2. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
3. Remove the plenum front panel. Refer to Plenum Front Panel Replacement .
4. Remove the vacuum pump. Refer to Vacuum Pump Replacement .

Procedure

1. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the engine coolant temperature sensor.
2. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor from the thermostat housing.
3. Inspect the seal and replace if necessary.
