Unsuccessful Programming Recovery

In the event of an interrupted or unsuccessful programming event, perform the following steps:
- Ignition ON.
- Dismiss Update Failed message.
- Remove and re-install SD card in receptacle, and follow on-screen instructions.
- If the control module cannot be reprogrammed
- Ignition OFF for one minute, ignition ON.
- Verify the control module can be reprogrammed.
- If the control module cannot be reprogrammed, replace the control module.
- If the control module can be reprogrammed.
- All OK.
- If the control module can be reprogrammed
- All OK.
NOTE:
If programming event fails, do not turn ignition OFF. Turning ignition OFF before attempting to program again may damage the vehicle performance data recorder.
