Installation Procedure
- Install the EBCM, if removed. Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement
- Install the BPMV to the bracket, if removed. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement
- Install the BPMV and bracket assembly to the frame rail and slide the BPMV and bracket assembly toward the front of the vehicle.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Keep the BPMV and bracket assembly firmly seated in the slots of the frame rail and tighten the BPMV bracket bolts (1) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Connect the left front brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
Connect the right rear brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
Connect the left rear brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
Connect the right front brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
Connect the master cylinder secondary brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten the fitting to 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
Connect the master cylinder primary brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten the fitting to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
- Connect the EBCM electrical connector.
- Install the transfer case skid shield, if equipped. Transfer Case Skid Shield Replacement
- Bleed the antilock brake system. Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed
- Program the EBCM. Control Module References
- Calibrate the BPMV pressure sensor. Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Pressure Sensor Calibration
