Installation Procedure
- Install the following components if fuel tank replacement was necessary:
- Fuel tank fuel pump module. Refer to Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Replacement .
Use a suitable jack and install the fuel tank (1).
- Connect the fuel tank harness electrical connector.
Reposition the fuel tank straps (2).
- Install the fuel tank strap bolts (1) and tighten to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
Install the filler hose (1) and tighten the hose clamp (2) to 4 N.m (35 lb in).
- Connect the evaporative emission line (3). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
Connect the evaporative emission and fuel pipes (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Refill the fuel tank.
- Inspect for fuel leaks.
