Installation Procedure

  1. Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket (1).

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bolt (1) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  7. Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Bolt (1) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  9. Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Nut (1) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  11. Install Left Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb ft)

  23. Connect Electronic Brake Control Module Electrical Connector (1).

  26. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure)
  27. Perform the diagnostic system check. Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle
  28. Observe the brake pedal feel after performing the diagnostic system check. If the pedal now feels spongy, air may have been in the secondary hydraulic circuit of the brake modulator which may have been introduced into the primary circuit. If the pedal feels spongy, bleed the antilock brake system. Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed
