Installation Procedure
- Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket (1).
- Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bolt (1) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Install Electronic Brake Control Module with Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (1)
- Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Bolt (1) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Nut (1) and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
- Install Left Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb ft)
- Install Right Front Brake Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb ft)
- Install Left Front Brake Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb ft)
- Install Right Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten 18 N.m (13 lb ft)
- Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
- Install Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Secondary Pipe Fitting (1) and tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
- Connect Electronic Brake Control Module Electrical Connector (1).
- Install Radiator Surge Tank (1).Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LYX without KL9)Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LTG LYX with KL9)Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LH7 FWD)Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LH7 AWD)
- Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure)
- Perform the diagnostic system check. Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle
- Observe the brake pedal feel after performing the diagnostic system check. If the pedal now feels spongy, air may have been in the secondary hydraulic circuit of the brake modulator which may have been introduced into the primary circuit. If the pedal feels spongy, bleed the antilock brake system. Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed
