GDS Data Analysis
■ Variant Coding (in case that the GDS is connected to the internet)
- Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- IG "ON".
- Perform variant coding in Vehicle S/W Management menu of the GDS. (Fig 1)
- Fill in blanks with VIN number of the vehicle correctly. (Fig 2)
- Check whether current variant code corresponds to the options which are applied to the vehicle. (Fig 3)
- IG "OFF" and wait for about 10 seconds, and then IG "ON". Go to "Variant Code Reset" Procedure.
NOTE:
In case that the state of HAC is enabled, operate "longitudinal G sensor Calibration" by GDS. (refer to C1285 )
■ Variant Coding (in case that the GDS isn't connected to the internet)
- Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- IG "ON".
- Perform variant coding in "Vehicle S/W Management" menu of the GDS. (Fig 4)
- Log in GSW website (http://ccc.hyundai-motor.com/) and then click "VIN Search" at the top center side of the screen.
- Select ESP (ESC) and fill in VIN number (or body number) correctly, and check ESP (ESC) code. (Fig 5)
- Fill in the blank with ESP (ESC) code checked in GSW web site. (Fig 6)
- Check whether current variant code corresponds to the options which are applied to the vehicle.
- IG "OFF" and wait for about 10 seconds, and then IG "ON". Go to "Variant Code Reset" Procedure.
NOTE:
In case that the state of HAC is enabled, operate "longitudinal G sensor Calibration" by GDS. (refer to C1285 )
■ Variant Code Reset
- Check for improper installation of ECM/TCM/ESP (ESC)/4WD/DCT/ACU/EPB ECU.
- Check for wrong 4WD ECU installation.
- Check for wrong G sensor installation.
- Check for wrong DCT ECU installation.
- Check for wrong TCM installation.
- Check for wrong EPB ECU installation.
- Connect GDS to Data Link Connector.
- IG "ON".
- Perform variant code reset in Vehicle S/W Management menu of the GDS. (Fig 7)
- IG "OFF" and wait for about 10 seconds, and then IG "ON". Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " Procedure.
