Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the parking switch connector (B) and release the fastener (A) to disconnect the cable from the parking release lever.

  3. Remove the parking release lever (A) after removing the nut (B).

  4. Using the transmission jack, support the oil pan of the transmission.
  5. Remove the cross member (A).
  6. Jack falls down to remove the parking switch.

  7. Remove the parking switch after removing the bolts (A).
