Measuring Resistance
- Disconnect the cruise control switch connector from the control switch.
- Measure resistance between terminals on the control switch when each function switch is ON (and switch is depressed).
Function Switch Terminal Resistance (kΩ) [± 5%] CANCEL 2 - 3 0.56 SET - 2 - 3 0.89 RES + 2 - 3 1.45 CRUISE 2 - 3 2.55 SCC 2 - 3 5.55 - If not within specification, replace switch.
Measuring Voltage
- Connect the cruise control switch connector to the control switch.
- Measure voltage between terminals on the harness side connector when each function switch is ON (switch is depressed).
Function Switch Terminal Voltage (V) [Vref = 5V] CANCEL 2 - 3 1.8 ± 0.22 SET - 2 - 3 2.3 ± 0.22 RES + 2 - 3 3.0 ± 0.22 CRUISE 2 - 3 3.5 ± 0.22 SCC 2 - 3 4.2 ± 0.22 - If not within specification, inspect the control switch resistance.
