PTM Operating Flow (Trunk Closed)

  1. Closing can be triggered by receiving closing signal from one of the following:
    • Trunk inner switch
    • Driver side crash pad switch (Operates only while pressed.)
  2. On receiving closing signal, the PTM controls the operating units including the motor rotate/operate in the direction of closing.
  3. The closing angle of the trunk is determined by calculating the input pulse from the hall sensor.
  4. The rotating speed of motor can be controlled by the hall sensor built into the trunk lid motor.
    • It increases motor speed if It is slower than set value and vice versa.
    • if the pulse interval of the hall sensor is long, the operation will be stopped after determine that there is jamming or obstacle in the operating range.
  5. Power latch is mechanically locked after contacting with the striker.
  6. PTM moves the power latch to the half locked position and then stopped it.
