Measure the resistance between signal and ground terminal of ECT Sensor connector. (Component side)

Is resistance within the specification?
YES
- Clear DTC and Test-drive under the enable conditions. After the road test, if this DTC is set, recheck resistance. If not, it is intermittent fault. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
NO
- Check ECT Sensor for contamination, deterioration, or damage. Substitute with a known-good ECT Sensor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace ECT Sensor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
