Navigator Linked ASCC Function

It is an additional function for a vehicle equipped with automatic smart cruise control (ASCC) system which automatically keeps the vehicle speed set by the driver to maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead.

When the driver selects the option of "automatic speed reduction in the section subject to over speed regulation" from the user option on the instrument panel, the navigator-linked ASCC function is activated.

This function is designed to improve driver's convenience. It receive speed limit information in advance from the navigator and then temporarily adjusts the vehicle to regulation speed, instead of keeping the speed set by the driver.

CAUTION: The purpose of this function is not to avoid over speed regulation and the navigator does not guarantee the accuracy of the speed limit information. Thus, even with the function in operation, the driver shall do his/her duty of observing the traffic laws.
