Description And Operation: Description: Notes
MDPS (Motor Driven Power Steering) system is an engine operation independent steering system that uses an electric motor to assist the steering force.
The MDPS system variably generates auxiliary steering force according to driving conditions by controlling the operation of the motor based on input signals such as torque sensors and vehicle signals.
MDPS system components such as torque sensors and fail safety relays are located inside the MDPS unit assembly, and the steering gear box & MDPS unit assembly should not be disassembled for inspection or replacement of these components.
