Repair Procedures: Disassembly

Information 

• When compressing the coil spring, be cautious as there may be corrosion due to damage to the coil spring painting. In order to avoid such painting damage, compress by putting over the waste hose, etc. (Refer to the illustration below.)

1. Using the spring compressor, compress the coil spring (A).

   Do not compress the spring more than necessary.

2. Using the SST, loosen the self locking nut.
   1. Using the SST (09546-F6100), loosen the self locking nut.[ECS type]

   2. Using the SST (09546-3X100), loosen the self locking nut.[None ECS type]

3. Remove the insulator assembly, coil spring and upper pad from the shock absorber.
