Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION:

NOTE:

When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool not to damage the surface.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

Remove the front seat back cover.
(Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT BACK COVER ")
Remove the front seat cushion cover.
(Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER ")
Remove the side airbag module.
(Refer to Airbag System - "SIDE AIRBAG (SAB) MODULE ")
Remove the lumbar support unit
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "LUMBAR SUPPORT UNIT ")
Separate the front seat back frame (A) and front seat cushion frame (B), after loosen the mounting bolts.
Tightening torque: 58.8 - 68.6 N.m (6.0 - 7.0 kgf.m, 43.4 - 50.6 lb-ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- For the seat equipped with side airbag, remove the side airbag from the seat frame assembly.
  (Refer to Restraint - "SIDE AIRBAG (SAB) ")
- Before service, be fully aware of precautions and service procedure relevant to air bag.
  (Refer to Restraint - "SIDE AIRBAG (SAB) MODULE , and GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION AND CAUTION ")
