Drive motor in EV is a system that generates drive power in a vehicle that does not have an engine. Accordingly, it generates high power output for acceleration, uphill, and high speed driving with almost no sound. During deceleration, the motor acts as an generator and generates electricity to recharge the high voltage battery. This system improves fuel efficiency and increases driving distance. Drive force generated by the motor is transferred to the wheels via reducer linked to the rotor shaft and the drive shaft.
