SRS Control Module (SRSCM): Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
    WARNING:
    • Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
  2. Remove the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Separate the floor carpet (A) backwards.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FLOOR CARPET ")

  4. Pull up the lock of the SRSCM connector to disconnect the connector.

  5. Loosen the mounting nuts, disconnect SRSCM ground cable (A) and then remove the SRSCM (B).

    CAUTION:
    • You must remove or install the SRSCM or other SRS components with the ignition switch OFF to avoid accidental airbag deployment
    • Be careful not to damage the SRSCM connector.
