SRS Control Module (SRSCM): Removal
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.WARNING:
- Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
- Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")
- Separate the floor carpet (A) backwards.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FLOOR CARPET ")
- Pull up the lock of the SRSCM connector to disconnect the connector.
- Loosen the mounting nuts, disconnect SRSCM ground cable (A) and then remove the SRSCM (B).CAUTION:
- You must remove or install the SRSCM or other SRS components with the ignition switch OFF to avoid accidental airbag deployment
- Be careful not to damage the SRSCM connector.
