Repair Procedures: Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
    WARNING:
    • Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
  2. Install the knee airbag module after connect the knee airbag module connector.
  3. Install the crash pad under cover.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "CRASH PAD UNDER COVER ")

  4. Install the crash pad lower panel.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")

  5. Reconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  6. After installing the knee airbag (KAB), confirm proper system operation.
    NOTE:
    • Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about 3-6 seconds and then go off.
